Upon winning the contest, he felt his career was taking off and would create the financial support he needed. In 2003, Rittz won the Battlegrounds Rap Competition at the local radio station, 107.9. After a while, the two had their differences and Rittz began doing solo work. The rap duo created music together for five years, but things never became professional.
